What's up friends!

I hope this Friday morning finds you well. I'm excited to share another new music release with you today.

This time, I teamed up with my longtime partner in crime, Rob Covacevich. Robbie and I have been playing together for decades — first with Delta Nove, and still today with Sea Funk Brass Band and Groovesession, plus countless cover bands along the way. We’ve even been lucky enough to occasionally get a call from the legendary Thievery Corporation.

For a few years after COVID, Rob and I spent a lot of time on the road together with Boombox as the “Backbeat Brass,” and this latest track is a little nod to that chapter. It’s called “Back to the Backbeat.”

It’s a super funky jam — and honestly, modern music could use a little more funk these days.
